Eligibility Criteria

  • ELIGIBILITY : 10+2 or equivalent in any discipline, with minimum 50% marks (Candidates appearing in 10+2 may also apply).
    • For GENERAL/OBC Category Students :
    • Direct Admission : 60% -aggregate
    • Admission through UPSEE : 50% -aggregate
    • For SC/ST Category Students :
    • Direct Admission : 55% -aggregate
    • Admission through UPSEE : 50% -aggregate
  • Duration: Full time, 4 years (8 Semesters) starting from July and ending in May.
  • Mode of Selection: Entrance Tests comprising of Design Aptitude Test

Students should have a passionate interest in fashion and style, and be motivated to work hard. Applicants will want to develop industry and expert level fashion skills from some of the best experts in the fashion industry. Goals may be to work in the fashion industry, to develop existing fashion and styling skills, or to simply fuel personal knowledge of in the most creative atmosphere for fashion and personal styling based learning.

AIFT welcomes students for study from all over the world, and our courses are suitable for students who have completed college or university, or at any time of life for students who are looking for first class fashion designing training to apply at industry level.

AIFT teaching is fine-tuned to the individual, and suitable for students who are being introduced to the fashion industry for the first time, and those who have previous experience and are established in industry looking to develop skills.

At AIFT, we are focused on academic achievement results to date. We assess each student on individual merit. However, our aim is to train each students to a very high industry standard, with a view to creating or enhancing a fashion designing based career beyond study. We therefore look for all students to have:

All AIFT courses are taught in English. Students whose first language is not English, must be proficient in written, spoken and listening English skills as students are required to participate in class discussions and presentations.

Entry for study at AIFT is competitive, as many students apply for study at AIFT for the select number of places available on the various Degree, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and skill training course options.
